Country Folk Greeting Cards
For my final project for my Type and Image class, the assignment was fairly open-ended, with the requirement being we choose from 4 themes provided to us by the professor. The theme I chose to use for my project was Country Folk, and I chose to create a set of greeting cards to follow that theme.
When ideating the theme ‘Country Folk’, I was particularly inspired by Amish / Dutch country art and knew I wanted to inspire my phrases by elements present in those environments, which is how I landed on corn, cows, and bread! I outsourced the phrases from various ‘Amish Puns’ websites, and landed on the three puns:
“You’re a-maize-ing”; “I udderly adore you”; “You dough-light me!”
Mock up created using Adobe Stock. Illustrated in Adobe Photoshop.
